Peer Review Process

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the Manuscript Preparation. Based on the peer reviewers’ reports/reviews, the editorial decision for the submission will be one of the following: accept as is, request revisions (minor or major), or reject. The editor may reject a manuscript if it does not meet basic academic standards. After receipt of the manuscript:

  • The editorial board checks the suitability and compliance with the journal's criteria.
  • If the manuscript meets the basic criteria, it is forwarded anonymously to two reviewers who are experts in the field.
  • The review process is double-blind – neither the reviewers nor the author are known to each other.
  • The author receives the reviews with recommendations for improvement or an explanation of acceptance/rejection. The revised manuscript is sent to the editor.
  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection of the paper.

The first review decision is typically made in 6-8 weeks.
